Reporting to the Logistics Team Leader, the DACW Advanced Operator role consists of monitoring and operating the conveyor system that transports pallets from the converting lines into the dynamic automated compact warehouse (DACW). Outside of this their main purpose remains performing the role of a Logistics FLT Operator.
Job Responsibility:

Performing the role of a Logistics FLT Operator
Lone-working will be required
Climbing stairs/ladders to access various conveyors, elevators and Transport cars
Straightening any pallets up to a weight of 500kg that have been forced out of line on the conveyor
Removing any spilled product/pallets that have fallen over in transit
Correcting any leaning pallets in the warehouse
Move any damaged pallets and/or ropa trollies
Replace or manually scan any damaged barcode labels
Straightening of any pallets that are leaning and failing at the profile station
Carrying multiple sacks of products for up 120m from a trolley spill
General cleaning/tidying of area
Manipulating jammed pallets of up to 500kg with levers
Removing sections of damaged pallets with crow bars etc
Fault management of transport cars/trollies and elevators
Operations/fault management to be carried out via WCS/WINCC systems
Utilising handset controls as well as PC-based systems
Replace sensors
Manoeuvring in restricted spaces and awkward access
Programming trolley positions
General fault finding and repairs within scope of role/trainings also utilising off-site support such as BTA
Work to Standard Operating Procedures, undertaking risk assessments, be part of quality inspections, continuous improvement activities as well as regular Cleaning, Inspection and Lubrication processes
Able to comply with the lock off isolation procedure – LOTO
Report any safety issues to the Team Leader while also utilising the Gensuite Concern Report tool
Being present at peer-to-peer shift handovers, evident by completing handover form
Perform machine start-ups and stops as required, logging any problems following procedures
Requirements:
Current FLT licence
Spanset Fall-Arrest trained (or willing to undertake training)
Complete a condensed NVQ2 course, sometimes in own time
WCS/WINCC System and Handset training
Trained on all tasks within technical skill blocks
Trained on SAP for raising/updating/closing notifications and booking certain parts from Stores
