Job Description:

We're looking for a driven Sales Manager to build a strong pipeline and drive revenue growth. Reporting to the Director of Sales, EMEA, you'll be the face of Automata in the DACH region —developing relationships, generating opportunities, and closing complex deals as a high-performing individual contributor within our growing EMEA sales organisation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and execute market focused strategic sales plan for the DACH area/territory
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key accounts in the assigned territory or region
  • Identify and qualify new opportunities within existing accounts as well as through new business development
  • Maintain customer expectations and satisfaction by working with Automata Applications, Customer Success, Service and Product teams to ensure project success
  • Achieve sales targets and quotas for assigned territory
  • Conduct regular pipeline reviews and forecast accuracy assessments
  • Participate in key customer meetings and close complex deals
  • Analyze territory performance metrics and identify growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with marketing on territory-specific campaigns and lead generation
  • Provide market feedback and competitive intelligence to management
  • Support marketing initiatives through partnering with marketing on territory-specific campaigns and lead generation efforts
  • Ensure CRM accuracy and adherence to sales processes

Requirements:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Life Sciences, Engineering, or Computer Science
  • 4+ years experience selling lab automation integrations and/or customised liquid handling platforms
  • 4+ years experience in life sciences sales with account management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to perform live software demonstrations
  • Strong understanding of automation workflows, lab hardware, or integrated software systems
  • Self-motivated with proven ability to work independently and achieve ambitious goals
  • Business development mentality
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Willingness to travel regularly (approximately 40-50%) for customer site visits and national trade shows

Nice to have:

  • Fluent communication in English and/or French is a big plus
  • Track record of exceeding quota in complex technical sales
  • Experience selling to both academic research labs and biopharma/diagnostics companies
  • Consultative selling approach with the ability to navigate multiple stakeholders
