We are recruiting for a DA Refuge Manager to lead a specialist refuge service in Leicester supporting women from Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic (BAME) and refugee communities. This is an opportunity to join a highly respected women's organisation providing culturally sensitive support, emergency accommodation and community-based services to women and children fleeing abuse and violence.
Job Responsibility:
Managing refuge staff and operational delivery
Safeguarding and complex case management
Supporting women affected by domestic abuse and trauma
Managing rotas, compliance and reporting
Senior on-call responsibilities
Working closely with external agencies and community organisations
Supporting culturally sensitive and trauma-informed services
Requirements:
Previous management experience within Domestic Abuse, Refuge, Supported Housing or Safeguarding services
Strong safeguarding and risk assessment knowledge
Experience supporting BAME communities
Senior on-call experience
Managerial qualification essential
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to manage complex and emotionally demanding situations
Applicants must speak English plus at least 1 community/BAME language
