We are seeking an experienced and client-facing Data Migration Lead with strong expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) to lead end-to-end data migration activities for enterprise implementations. This role requires deep functional and technical understanding of D365 data entities, migration tools, and ERP data structures, along with strong stakeholder management and leadership skills. The Data Migration Lead will work closely with clients, functional consultants, technical teams, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality migration of data from legacy systems into D365 F&O.
Job Responsibility:
Lead end-to-end data migration strategy, planning, and execution for D365 F&O implementation projects
Define data migration approach, methodology, standards, and governance
Act as the primary point of contact for clients for all data migration related discussions in the project
Manage and mentor data migration team members, including analysts and developers
Collaborate with functional, technical, and business teams to ensure alignment with project goals
Conduct workshops with business stakeholders to identify data migration scope, requirements, and priorities
Provide expert guidance on data cleansing, data mapping, and data validation strategies
Communicate migration status, risks, and mitigation plans to client leadership and project stakeholders
Build strong client relationships and ensure high customer satisfaction
Lead migration of Master Data, Open Transactions, and Historical Data into D365 F&O
Design and review data mapping documents and transformation logic
Oversee data extraction, transformation, and loading
Ensure data quality, integrity, reconciliation, and validation
Work closely with Functional Consultants, Technical Developers, Solution Architects, Client Business Teams and Integration teams
Requirements:
Minimum 6-10 years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
Proven experience leading data migration for at least 5 full lifecycle D365 F&O implementations
Experience in client-facing consulting roles
Strong expertise in: D365 F&O Data Management Framework (DMF), Data Entities, Data Templates, Data Packages
Experience with data migration tools and technologies
Strong understanding of ERP business processes
Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to conduct workshops and explain migration concepts to business users
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Understanding of data governance and data quality frameworks
Experience working in global implementation projects
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
