Job Description:

Brisbane City Council are seeking dedicated individuals to join our Cross River Cyclic Maintenance team. This crucial role involves both routine upkeep and responsive maintenance of our cross river bridges.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform daily and weekly inspections of signs, footpaths, roads, rails, locks, expansion joints, and pumps
  • Manage cleanliness by removing rubbish, graffiti, debris (including leaves, bird droppings, branches), and wiping down benches
  • Install and remove advertising banners
  • Inspecting communication lines
  • Communicate with other Council divisions (e.g., Boilermaker, Painting, Graffiti teams) for tasks beyond the maintainers' scope
  • Conduct quarterly, monthly, and annual tasks such as inspecting substructures for damage, cleaning stormwater drainage pits, and greasing bridge bearings as per the plan

Requirements:

  • Valid “C” Class driver’s license (MR truck licence desirable)
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Working at heights
  • EWP Above 11m
  • Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card)
  • Confined Space ticket
