The Cybersecurity Junior Consultant is a customer-facing role providing cybersecurity technology consulting to external customers and internal project teams. Responsible for delivering technical contributions and/or leadership in the creation and delivery of cybersecurity solutions designed to meet customers’ business needs and drive secure outcomes for our clients. The Cybersecurity Junior Consultant will stay up to date with advancements in cutting-edge cybersecurity technologies and industry/market trends, while actively contributing to the company’s solutions portfolio through information and knowledge sharing—from technical expertise to methodologies based on experience gained from customer projects. This role helps to shape technical direction and strategic approaches to security within the organization and for external customers. The Cybersecurity Junior Consultant is accountable for contributing to the organization’s profitability by generating and cultivating new business opportunities and providing technical support for deal proposal development. The Cybersecurity Junior Consultant is expected to work closely with Service Sales Specialists and the Sales Account Team to help drive company growth, and be recognized as a trusted advisor from the customer’s point of view.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver assigned tasks within the project lifecycle, understanding HPE's cybersecurity portfolio and designing technical solutions to meet customer requirements
  • Design, integrate, and implement security controls across the entire cloud stack (network, OS, platform, application, security management, and monitoring) for IT platforms and sovereign cloud solutions
  • Build demos, create blueprints, and installation/configuration procedures
  • engage with third-party cybersecurity vendors as needed
  • Design, install, configure, and integrate disaster recovery, backup, and advanced recovery solutions
  • Develop demos and solutions leveraging AI to enhance cybersecurity operations
  • Create and maintain standard processes and procedures, manage a catalog of information security assets, and support implementation of information management systems for cybersecurity compliance (including new regulatory requirements such as ENS, NIS2)
  • Support compliance activities and evaluate requirements for sovereign cloud (private, hybrid, multi-cloud) solutions
  • Assist with compliance assessments and tool adaptation for ENS, NIS2, DORA, EUCS
  • Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments for AI-related use cases and contribute to documentation and collateral creation
  • Work under supervision of the technical lead and collaborate with customer-nominated representatives to accomplish tasks
  • Integrate technical knowledge and business understanding to create effective solutions for customers
  • Apply company solutions to address moderately complex customer needs within technical responsibility areas
  • Provide technical consulting during project presales discussions
  • Resolve technical issues independently, collaborating with team members to address cross-technology or complex challenges
  • Balance internal requirements with customer needs within defined parameters
  • Identify additional cybersecurity services that could lead to future service revenue growth
  • Manage smaller projects or programs within the team
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers and the HPE sales team
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with team members and customers in assigned projects
  • Understand and align with the company’s strategy
  • Participate in technical or professional community events
  • Continuously update and advance technical knowledge

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields)
  • Completed or undertaking master’s degree study specialized in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related areas
  • Proficiency in the English language, both written and spoken
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, SQL, Java, C, and Unix Shell scripting
  • Conceptual understanding of Information Technology (IT) environments, with an emphasis on cybersecurity principles and practices
  • Passion for new and emerging cybersecurity technologies
  • Willingness to participate in international projects and availability to travel
  • Active listening skills and the ability to tailor communication to different audience levels
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to produce clear and concise documentation
  • Demonstrated understanding of assigned discipline or technical area, particularly in cybersecurity
  • Proactive learning aptitude
  • Strong teamwork skills, combined with autonomy and the ability to organize and manage your own work
