The Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect an organization’s computer systems, networks, and data. This role involves identifying vulnerabilities, responding to security incidents, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Job Responsibility:
Design and deploy secure network solutions to protect against cyber threats
Monitor systems for security breaches and investigate incidents
Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
Implement and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption protocols
Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures
Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security into system architecture and application development
Stay updated on emerging threats, technologies, and compliance requirements
Prepare reports and documentation for audits and regulatory compliance
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field
Proven experience in cybersecurity engineering or similar role
Strong knowledge of network security, encryption, and authentication protocols
Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
Proficiency in tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners
