Outpost24 is hiring a Cyber Security Consultant to join our growing team in Amsterdam or Leuven! We are searching for a suitable candidate to join our existing and rapidly expanding Managed Services Team, supporting and enhancing customer delivery. The role requires strong communication and organizational skills as well as “hands-on” client issue management, service support, service enhancements and client relations. Your role will be to become a key player for the managed services department, whilst also offering support to our technical and sales teams. You will become proficient with the Outpost24 suite of solutions and provide Customers with the expert consultancy services we promise them. The role will not be confined to a single location and the successful candidate may enjoy some opportunities for international travel, performing on-site consultancy services to our expanding customer base where required

Job Responsibility

  • Customer Engagement
  • Conduct advisory sessions with customers to address their security concerns, challenges, and objectives
  • Act as the technical point of contact for security-related queries during these sessions
  • Threat Landscape Analysis
  • Educate customers on the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies
  • Tailor advice to align with industry trends and the customer’s specific sector
  • Solution Design and Recommendation
  • Assess customers' current security frameworks and provide actionable insights for improvement
  • Suggest appropriate tools, technologies, and methodologies to strengthen their security posture
  • Collaboration and Communication
  • Work closely with internal teams (e.g., engineering, product, and support) to address customer feedback
  • Ensure clear communication of complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, from technical staff to executives
  • Compliance and Best Practices
  • Advise customers on regulatory requirements and industry standards, such as GDPR, ISO 27001, or NIST
  • Promote adherence to security best practices tailored to their operational context
  • Documentation and Reporting
  • Maintain detailed records of advisory sessions, including customer challenges, proposed solutions, and follow-up actions
  • Provide Executive summaries to customers via their reporting on ways to improve their ways of working

  • Preparedness: Conduct pre-session research to understand each customer’s security environment and challenges
  • Proactivity: Identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement before they become critical issues
  • Follow-Up: Provide post-session summaries, actionable recommendations, and resources for implementation
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Ensure all advice and solutions are tailored to the customer’s specific needs and constraints

  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, tools, and trends
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and effectively convey technical concepts
  • Experience in threat analysis, vulnerability assessment, and risk management
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards
  • Must possess strong knowledge of security tools, technologies, and methodologies
  • Should have hands-on experience with cloud security frameworks (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments
  • 5+ years in cybersecurity roles, including consulting or advisory roles
  • Proven experience working in managed service environments or with multiple clients
  • Fluent spoken and written English
