Job Description:

We are seeking a Cross Domain Solution and Systems Engineer to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. The position will support Cross Domain Solution and Data Processing products supporting Space Mission information systems across multiple domains.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provides technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement of company technical products, programs and systems
  • Provides expertise for the resolution of technical problems, troubleshoots products and modifies products to customer requirements
  • Maintains system stability through advanced troubleshooting, timely resolution of incidents, and proactive maintenance to provide the maximum availability and optimal Mean Time To Repair
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for X-Arbitor Cross Domain Solution and Phoenix Prime information processing systems
  • Collaborate with onsite and offsite team members within the company and outside groups
  • Integrate with site infrastructure components such as email servers, file servers, time servers, PKI servers, continuous monitoring systems, VM Servers, and KVM capabilities
  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions for Communications Satellites Command and Control architecture, platform development, and network infrastructure
  • Evaluates customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces
  • Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture
  • Resolves cross-functional technical issues

Requirements:

  • BS 5-7 Years, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2
  • Have a BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related technical field
  • Must possess and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance/SCI
  • Must possess the required DoD 8140 certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+)
  • Have a basic working knowledge of Linux OS, Microsoft Windows, desktop applications (email, file transfer, browsers), computer networking, and VM technologies
  • Work well both individually and in a team environment
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Space System Data products and analytics
  • Have familiarity with multi-level secure system architectures and system approval processes
  • Experience and ability to support Government security requirements and best practices for software delivery involving system accreditation
  • XML/XSLT document handling, transformation and management
  • Network and System Security such as SSL/TLS and PKI certificate management and firewalls
  • Network protocols such as HTTP, HTTPS, SNMP, FTP/S, SFTP, NTP, TCP/UDP
  • Basic working knowledge of Security Enhanced Linux (SE Linux)
  • Have experience with system integration, network troubleshooting, system troubleshooting, and regular expressions
