Join Vodafone’s Cyber Prevent team and help shape the future of secured telco and network infrastructure. As a Cyber Solution Engineer (AV & EDR Network Strategist), you’ll be at the forefront of designing, evaluating and experimenting with new security AV & EDR solutions to integrate into Vodafone’s vast telco and network infrastructure. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to help create a holistic approach for security tooling in unique environments and embed a DevSecOps approach that proactively reduces cyber risk.
Job Responsibility
Design, evaluate and experiment with new security AV & EDR solutions to integrate into Vodafone’s telco and network infrastructure
Work closely with internal teams and external partners to help create a holistic approach for security tooling in unique environments
Embed a DevSecOps approach that proactively reduces cyber risk
Support and lead AV & EDR Proof of Concepts, evaluating new security solutions and adapting them to telco and network environments
Tackle design challenges due to environment constraints and ensure alignment with global standards and benchmarks
Collaborate with stakeholders across Cyber Strategy, Cyber Defence, Threat Intelligence, Vulnerability Management, and Risk Management to integrate AV & EDR security controls and services with existing processes
Contribute to incident response and reporting
Act as a visible ambassador for Vodafone’s Cyber Code and security best practices.
Requirements
Bachelor/Master Degree
At least 6 years of professional experience in similar role
Hands-on experience with telco and network environment, such as CNFs, VNFs and PNFs with deep understanding of their uniqueness and challenges
Experience with AV & EDR security solutions
Familiarity with security controls, their implementation, policy design and reporting requirements
A DevOps and risk based approach mindset with strong automation and scripting skills
Technical understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems
Strong communication skills and the ability to present insights to technical and non-technical audiences
A proactive approach to stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration
Fluency in English.
