The Cyber & Security Specialist is responsible for developing a suite of cybersecurity artefacts required to obtain Authority to Operate (ATO) through Defence Cyber and Information Assurance Branch (DCIAB) for the Landing Craft Medium (LCM), Landing Craft Heavy (LCH), and Amphibious Vehicle - Logistics (AVL) systems. This includes preparing Security Authorisation Plans, System Security Plans, Business Impact Level Assessments, Security Risk Management Plans, and any additional documentation needed to meet accreditation requirements. The role ensures that all cybersecurity governance, risk, and assurance activities are completed to the required standards to support secure, compliant system operation within the program.
Job Responsibility:
Participate in Security Working groups with an aim develop and mature the Cybersecurity artefacts
Support Design Reviews and provide cyber security related advice
Engage other support agencies such as DNE and Army-ICT to support the development of other key Cyber security documentation
Engage and work with DCIAB to submit and seek consent for Approval to Operate (ATO) certification for all platforms
Identify any technical risks and develop technical risk assessments
Participate in technical meetings
Requirements:
Demonstrated long term experience in an ICT Security related position in Information Security and Assurance
Experience in Acquisition of major platforms or Operational Technologies
Proven knowledge and experience in the implementation of Security standards such as ISO 27001 and NIST 800-82
Nice to have:
Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or ICT related discipline
Experience in Defence and/or shipbuilding acquisition projects
Knowledge of Defence Cyber Security Assessment and Authorisation Framework
