Job Description

Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a Cyber Security Solution Architect. This role will be Inside of IR35, so you will be required to use an FCSA Accredited Umbrella Company.

Job Responsibility

  • Design and define end-to-end cybersecurity solutions aligned with enterprise security standards and business requirements
  • Lead and support vulnerability identification, assessment, prioritisation, and remediation across large enterprise environments
  • Manage and mitigate security vulnerabilities across both IT and OT (Operational Technology) landscapes
  • Work closely with infrastructure, application, and OT teams to embed security controls into architectures and operations
  • Provide architectural guidance on secure system design, threat modelling, and risk-based decision making
  • Support continuous improvement of vulnerability management processes and overall security posture

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in Cybersecurity, preferably in an enterprise environment
  • Strong experience in enterprise vulnerability management, including identification, tracking, remediation, and reporting
  • Hands-on experience with Vulnerability Management (VM) tools across IT environments
  • Proven exposure to OT security and vulnerability management in OT environments
  • Experience working as a security architect in various security domains
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and translate security requirements into practical solutions
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust security framework

Nice to have

  • Experience working in regulated or critical infrastructure environments
  • Familiarity with enterprise security architectures and security control frameworks

  • Build productive working relationships and collaborate with the wider Technology team and relevant business units to document and maintain the Security Architecture. Support business units in understanding, applying, and enforcing security controls for both new and existing solutions, products, and modules
  • Participate in early-stage project planning to ensure that appropriate security controls are implemented, in line with local legislation, regulations and with Group Cyber Security Policies and Standards
  • Assess the impact of new and updated Group Cyber Security Policies and Standards on the local organisation
  • Represent Technology Security during project sizing sessions and gate reviews. Provide high-level estimates of effort (time and cost), and ensure that estimates, security testing, and acceptance criteria are agreed upon, documented, and met
  • Act as an internal security consultant by advising and influencing business and technical stakeholders. Provide security assurance, guidance, and support for projects at both the requirements and architecture levels
  • Influence solution design by defining security requirements and ensuring implementations meet established security standards
  • Design solution architectures for security-related initiatives and broader projects across the organisation
  • Provide architectural guidance for secure software development, integration, and testing activities
  • Conduct risk assessments based on identified vulnerabilities and issues across the organisation or as part of the Secure by Design process
