Job Description:

Responsible for leading the initiation, planning, execution and closure phases for the Network Redesign project, a key initiative within the medical center’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Modernization (CIM) program. This project is a collaboration between our organization and Cisco Systems, and comprises multiple network and security-focused workstreams.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the initiation, planning, execution and closure phases for the Network Redesign project
  • Apply project management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project and program activities
  • Lead workstreams through initiation, planning, execution and closure phases
  • Perform essential functions to ensure consistent, quality, successful delivery of assigned projects
  • Manage competing demands of scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality, and stakeholder expectations
  • Report status, manage risks and issues, highlight upcoming milestones, identify budget needs and provide clear stakeholder communication
  • Formulate/define project scope objectives
  • Elicit formal requirements
  • Manage the project life cycle
  • Perform project communication
  • Assist in budget planning & reporting
  • Engage in professional development
  • Research and recommend process improvement goals

Requirements:

  • Experience in enterprise technology projects
  • General familiarity with network technologies
  • Experience with vendor management
  • Solid core project management skill set

  • Ability to balance and coordinate numerous priorities
  • Demonstrate qualities of trust, teamwork and transparency
  • PMI certification (must obtain and maintain if required for role)
