Altamira Technologies is seeking a Cyber Security Architect to join our world-class National Security Intelligence team in Herndon VA. Looking for a detail-oriented Cyber Security Architect to join our team. In this role you will serve as a subject matter expert with deep domain knowledge in specific threat areas of interest across the globe. This role requires strong analytical skills with an IC mission background, technical expertise, and the ability to communicate complex findings to diverse audiences.
Job Responsibility
Serve as a subject matter expert with deep domain knowledge in specific threat areas of interest across the globe
Evaluate and advise on zero trust architecture maturity models and road mapping phased adoption
Work within the Sponsor's IT and Cybersecurity policies, standards and guidance domains
Apply critical thinking to identify strengths and weakness of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems related to zero trust architecture
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., security, DevOps, compliance) to help align Sponsor zero trust architecture goals and outcomes, with business objectives
Engage with stakeholders to coordinate activities across organization boundaries
Prepare schedules, roadmaps, and management plans
Work with executive technical writing or editing to create cohesive products, narrative, or program artifacts for various audiences, including senior leadership
Translate technical information into clear, readable documents and presentations to be used by technical and non-technical personnel
Track project or program dependencies including but not limited to process improvements and changes, and technical integration challenges
Assess, document, and track program and project requirements and follow-on technical exchange meetings (TEMs)
Track and monitor on-going projects and initiatives
Coordinate program and project management process activities such as program and project reviews and creating documentation
Requirements
Must assist in evaluating and advising on zero trust architecture maturity models and road mapping phased adoption, ensuring alignment with Sponsor's organizational security posture
Must work within the Sponsor's IT and Cybersecurity policies, standards and guidance domains
Must apply critical thinking to identify strengths and weakness of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems related to zero trust architecture
Must have working knowledge of zero trust architecture frameworks (e.g., NIST SP 800-207), including micro-segmentation, least-privilege access, and continuous verification
Must have a working knowledge of network security architectures, such as software-defined networking (SDN), secure access service edge (SASE), and API gateways
Must have working knowledge of identity and access management (1AM) and multi-factor authentication (MFA) systems
Must possess a working knowledge of cloud-native security (e.g., AWS 1AM, Azure AD, Google Cloud 1AM) and hybrid/multi-cloud environments
Must collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., security, DevOps, compliance) to help align Sponsor zero trust architecture goals and outcomes, with business objectives
Must have a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, network forensics or other data analysis roles
Ten (10+) years' experience working in the areas of intelligence, information security, and network forensics
TS/SCI/FS Poly clearance only is required for this position
