We are seeking a proactive Cyber Security Analyst to serve as the main link between business, technology, and security teams, ensuring information remains secure across the organisation. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to define security needs, conducting risk assessments, developing and enforcing security policies, and overseeing the implementation and monitoring of security controls. You will also deliver training to boost cybersecurity awareness and promote best practices while staying informed on emerging threats. You’ll assess and report on compliance to multiple cyber standards such as vulnerability management and cryptography, ensuring remediation plans are in place and executed. Responsibilities also include managing complex cybersecurity issues, embedding new procedures, advising on controls, and building relationships across teams. Excellent communication and influencing skills are essential to support operational excellence and protect the organisation’s data and processes.
Job Responsibility:
Collaboration with stakeholders to understand their security requirements in business processes and IT projects, to enhance overall risk management
Execution of risk assessments to identify and prioritise potential cybersecurity threats that could impact the banks operations and data and guide the implementation of mitigation strategies and communicate findings to relevant findings to relevant senior stakeholders
Collaboration with business units to develop and implement security policies and procedures for the banks operations aligned to the risk management framework
Management of the implementation, testing and monitoring of security controls across the banks IT systems to ensure the effectiveness of controls and mitigation of risk
Execution of training content and sessions to educate employees, enhance cybersecurity awareness and provide guidance on safe online practices
Management of complex cybersecurity incidents by collaborating with IT teams and response experts to effectively resolve cases through analysis, expertise support and project supervision
Identification of emerging cybersecurity trends, threats, and new technologies to address potential risks by advocating the adoption of new security solutions
Requirements:
Data Analysis & MI Reporting - Proficiency in analysing large datasets and able to produce clear MI to drive dashboard creation and support regular reporting
Stakeholder Communication & Management - Ability to engage with stakeholders and communicate technical security risks to both technical and non-technical colleagues to drive/support remediation
Problem Solving & Critical Thinking - Strong ability to be able to apply problem solving to complex cyber security issues, identify root causes. Able to recognise thematic issues and determine practical remediation paths
Nice to have:
Cyber Security Governance, Risk and Compliance - Prior experience or understanding of cyber security standards, frameworks and controls
Remediation Coordination & Issue Management - Experience tracking remediation plans under challenging timelines and driving closures of issues
Security Tooling - Awareness and/or experience of working with common security tooling
