Randstad Digital is partnering with a leading Energy organisation for the recruitment of an IT Cyber Security & Governance Project Manager for a 12-month contract based in Virginia, QLD. This role sits within the organisation's Information Security Management Program, a strategic initiative focused on strengthening cyber security capabilities across Information Technology and Operational Technology environments. The ISMP delivers a coordinated set of uplift initiatives aligned to industry standards, regulatory expectations, and the organisation's long-term operational and technology strategy. Delivery is supported by multiple Project Managers working across Engineering, OT, and IT domains. This role is accountable for a defined group of IT cyber security and governance work packages within that structure.
Job Responsibility
Lead the planning and delivery of assigned IT cyber security and governance work packages, maintaining schedules, milestones, and delivery priorities across concurrent initiatives
Coordinate delivery activities across cyber security, IT, risk, and business stakeholders, ensuring work packages are executed in a structured and practical manner
Manage interdependencies between work packages and contribute to sequencing activities alongside other strategic initiatives to support coordinated delivery
Provide regular updates on delivery progress, risks, and issues to support program-level reporting and established governance processes
Drive key delivery areas including IT security capability uplift (logging, monitoring, cloud security, identity and access management), configuration enhancements, and threat intelligence initiatives
Requirements
Over 5 years' experience delivering complex cyber security and/or technology initiatives, ideally within enterprise IT or critical infrastructure environments
Proven experience delivering IT cyber security and governance initiatives, including seamless coordination across technical, risk, and business stakeholders
Experience working within organisations subject to the Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) framework, with energy sector experience highly regarded
Sound working knowledge of relevant cyber security frameworks, including the Australian Energy Sector Cyber Security Framework (AESCSF) and Essential Eight maturity model
A recognised Project Management certification, such as PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent
