Cyber Incident Response Technical Writer

• Document cyber incident response team activities during incident bridges and discussions in near real-time
• Produce investigative reports and summaries suitable for executive level consumption
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity documentation including security policies and procedures, incident response reports and briefings, technical manuals leveraged by the cyber defense teams
• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather information and ensure accuracy and clarity of content
• Maintain version control and documentation repositories
• Edit and proofread content for grammar, clarity, and consistency
• Perform quality and case review
• Attend critical incidents which could lead to afterhours duties

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, infrastructure technologies, incident response, technical writing, or other related disciplines
• 3+ years of experience in technical writing within a technology context
• 1+ year of experience focused on cybersecurity or related technologies
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and terminology
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Visio, Markdown, etc.)
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (High School Diploma and 4 years relevant experience)

IT and Cyber Security Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+ CE Security+ CE, CISSP, CISM, Certified Technical Writer (CTW), SANS/GIAC credentials
