Job Description

We are seeking an Agile Delivery Manager to own squad-level delivery within Global Cyber Security, specifically in Cyber Prevent – Security Monitoring & Analytics. This role focuses on predictable delivery of committed outcomes through disciplined planning, tracking, dependency management, and proactive risk and issue handling. Agile practices are used as enabling mechanisms, with a clear emphasis on delivery outcomes, transparency, and flow rather than process for its own sake

Job Responsibility

  • Own the end-to-end squad delivery lifecycle, including delivery plans, milestones, sequencing, and commitments aligned to PI objectives
  • Drive delivery predictability and transparency through active management of scope, timelines, capacity, and delivery flow
  • Identify, track, and actively remove blockers
  • escalate impediments that squads cannot resolve and drive actions to closure
  • Manage squad-level risks, issues, and dependencies (RAID), ensuring clear ownership, mitigation plans, and timely escalation
  • Lead PI planning readiness and execution for the squad, including estimation discipline, capacity planning, dependency identification, and risk and constraint management
  • Ensure PI outputs are produced, shared, and clearly understood by stakeholders
  • Provide delivery governance and reporting, including sprint progress, delivery confidence, PI objective tracking, and adjustments against plan, contributing to ART and leadership reporting as required
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies (stand-ups, refinement, planning, reviews, retrospectives) to enable delivery outcomes rather than routine status updates
  • Coach and support squads to continuously improve ways of working, follow through on improvement actions, and maintain morale and a sustainable pace

Requirements

  • An experienced delivery professional with a strong focus on delivery predictability, flow, and transparency in complex, cross-functional environments
  • A self-starting delivery owner who builds deep understanding of squad commitments and accountabilities to proactively manage plans, dependencies, RAID, and escalation
  • Knowledgeable in SAFe and agile delivery practices, including PI planning, forecasting, dependency management, and delivery reporting
  • Proactive in identifying and managing risks, issues, and impediments, with the ability to influence and coordinate across diverse stakeholders
  • Confident in stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication, maintaining transparency and escalating effectively when delivery is at risk
  • Skilled in delivery tooling such as Azure DevOps, Jira, and Confluence to manage backlogs, track progress, and produce clear reporting
  • Experience in Security Monitoring & Analytics or SOC modernisation programmes, and relevant certifications (such as SAFe Scrum Master, PRINCE2, PMP, or ITIL), are advantageous but not essential

Nice to have

  • Experience in Security Monitoring & Analytics or SOC modernisation programmes
  • Relevant certifications (such as SAFe Scrum Master, PRINCE2, PMP, or ITIL)

What we offer

  • The opportunity to play a key role in delivering critical cyber security capabilities that support Vodafone’s global operations
  • Exposure to PI-level planning and execution within a scaled agile environment
  • Collaboration with experienced technical, product, and release leadership in a global, diverse organisation
  • A role that values autonomy, judgement, and continuous improvement over rigid process adherence
