Job Description: SECURITY CLEARANCE: You will be subject to a BPSS check (including a criminal record check)

Job Responsibility

  • Monthly audit of MSS Import Line Item to analyse declaration discrepancies
  • Split error analysis between statistical and monetary to pursue amendments
  • Record findings and update comments to Log
  • Attend routine KPI meetings with DHL to review audit findings
  • Monitor error categories to identify improvements
  • Monthly review of Deferment Account activity and available balance
  • Collaborate and support HO Customs with new business projects and research
  • Support key stakeholders in implementing GTS Exports
  • Decrease Non-System transactions for Export
  • Manage 3rd party Brokers C88 & AWB for non SAP Imports
  • Maintain a Log for visibility
  • Audit entries, chase missing docs
  • Monthly deep dive to Internal Control Self-Assessment (ICSA)
  • With HO Customs select a category in rotation and document findings
  • Aid in identifying annual refresher training for the business
  • Maintain own regulatory training
  • Maintain own regulatory knowledge and updates
  • First point of contact for support to Customs Clearance Team
  • Advisor to other business functions on customs implications
  • Mitigate risk wherever possible
  • Monitor commodities for opportunity to maximize cost avoidance

Requirements

  • Excellent network in the customs area
  • Experience in customs systems e.g. GTS (Global Trade Services) from SAP is a clear plus
  • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain
  • Ideally experience in the aviation industry
  • Knowledge of finance and controlling as well as knowledge of quality is a plus
  • Confident in reading and understanding complex documentation and in creating legal documents
