Brook Street is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing freight and logistics business in Belfast to recruit a Customs & Freight Administrator to join their Client Operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with freight forwarding experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment and wants to play a key role in managing international shipments from start to finish.
Job Responsibility:
Manage customs processes, including completion of export declarations
Coordinate export bookings with shipping lines to meet target ETAs
Track shipments across multiple platforms and provide updates
Prepare and submit Bills of Lading (manual and online)
Process applications for veterinary/export certification
Update and maintain records within SAP and internal systems
Accurately input shipment data and maintain spreadsheets
Ensure all documentation and records are compliant and up to date
Requirements:
2-3 years' experience in freight forwarding or logistics
Strong understanding of customs procedures and export documentation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (experience with SAP is an advantage)
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work to KPIs in a fast-moving environment
Nice to have:
