Job Description

Brook Street is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing freight and logistics business in Belfast to recruit a Customs & Freight Administrator to join their Client Operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with freight forwarding experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment and wants to play a key role in managing international shipments from start to finish.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage customs processes, including completion of export declarations
  • Coordinate export bookings with shipping lines to meet target ETAs
  • Track shipments across multiple platforms and provide updates
  • Prepare and submit Bills of Lading (manual and online)
  • Process applications for veterinary/export certification
  • Update and maintain records within SAP and internal systems
  • Accurately input shipment data and maintain spreadsheets
  • Ensure all documentation and records are compliant and up to date

Requirements

  • 2-3 years' experience in freight forwarding or logistics
  • Strong understanding of customs procedures and export documentation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (experience with SAP is an advantage)
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work to KPIs in a fast-moving environment
