Job Description

Our client is looking to fill a permanent position as a Customs Compliance Specialist at their office in Ville Saint-Laurent. Reporting to the Logistics Director, your role will be, among other things, to carry out all requirements required to ensure compliance with customs activities in Canada and the United States. You will act as a resource person for customs compliance, providing support to the teams.

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure compliance of import and export operations by complying with internal processes and U.S. and Canadian regulations
  • Manage projects, analyze new products, and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Create reports, update and optimize compliance procedures
  • Be the resource person in terms of customs compliance and answer questions from internal and external Companies

Requirements

  • Bilingual English and French to communicate with clients outside of Quebec
  • Have at least two years of experience in a similar position
  • Have a mastery of Canadian and American customs regulations
  • Have a CCS certification (asset)
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, AS/400 and knowledge of various databases
  • With a good sense of initiative and organization
  • Efficient in terms of speed of execution and meeting deadlines
