To prepare and review import and export documentation and perform activities required to maintain Client UK sites in compliance with all relevant UK HM revenue and customs regulations and trade laws and in compliance with Client financial policy FP145
Ensures that all communications, actions, interactions and behaviours are consistent with ADC core values and the Client Code of Conduct
Effectively manage relationships by liaising with Brokers, Client Affiliates and Third Parties to ensure timely and correct clearance of Client Imports and Exports, using ERP systems where appropriate and in line with Client policy FP145 and local requirements
Processing import documentation and adjustments for under/over discrepancies in shipments received against original customs entry
Ensure that all certifications and documents are submitted in a timely manner and in accordance with legal requirements to the relevant government agency
Accurately maintain and update an export invoice log and raise manual invoices for export when required
Accurately complete Post Entry reviews and prepare supporting document packs on imports and exports, by Division, in line with Client Corporate Customs and Trade Compliance (CC&TC) and local policy requirements
Review the monthly MSS data reports from HMRC, identify and resolve any errors with the reports and log any corrections
Create reports using the MSS data to provide information on Global Duty Spend and create the import/export Affiliate Profile for CC&TC
Perform Posted VAT Accounting reconciliations by Division for Finance to aid their VAT return
Where required ensure all Dual use goods are tracked, logged, monitored and exported with the appropriate licences
Where required understand and manage shipments to Northern Ireland ensuring the imports are completed correctly through an approved broker or TSS system
Manage annual renewals of Broker Agreements and Power of Attorney by each Client Entity
Where required, manage Client Nutrition pump returns process through Inward Processing, creation of monthly file of imports and re-exports to HMRC
Maintain and update the Item Master Log (IML) for all Client UK Sites on a monthly basis and update the brokers when changes/additions are made
Customs commodity HS classification, management and determination of country of origin for the import/export of products and materials and the application of any Free Trade agreements (FTA)
Maintenance and storage of documentation relating to the import/export of products and materials in alignment with divisional retention policies
Provide input for review of Customs procedures and update any customs work instructions by Entity accordingly
Handling and resolving general customs enquiries
Ensure compliance with current Client quality system, good manufacturing practice, corporate and regulatory requirements
Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and Client standards by adhering to EHS systems, programmes and procedures, being accountable for the Health & Safety of themselves and others and by highlighting where improvements to EHS performance can be made
Ensure timely completion of training records/status to ensure compliance with the ETMS/ISO training system
Adhere to and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, documentation and training requirements
Requirements:
GCSE Level in Maths and English (Preferred)
High standard of literacy and numeracy
Relevant business qualification or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Substantial experience and background in logistics/import/export of materials and products required
Certification in Harmonised System Classification of goods (provided in-house by Client)
Experience working in a collaborative and cross-functional environment, both domestic and international
Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced business environment to meet frequent and changing priorities
Good verbal and written communication skills
Good computer skills (MS Office and keyboard), to enable individuals to effectively enter data and create reports
Good understanding on how to manage large data files, merge data and create formulas such as VLOOKUP/IF, Pivot tables and Concatenations
Good attention to detail and good standard of accuracy
