Job Description:

We have an opportunity for a customer services superstar to join our customer and librarian teams. This is a hybrid role delivering a consistent positive customer experience in our regional area offices to a range of customer queries as well as contributing to the design and delivery of quality library collections, programmes, events, initiatives and services. Ideally you will be based in Winton, and be willing to travel around our beautiful district to service our other area offices or jump on the mobile library (book bus). We have 32 hours a week available, 4 days a week (ideally with Wednesdays off). This is a fixed-term role for 6 months.

Job Responsibility:

  • welcome customers, staff and visitors and resolve queries wherever possible at first point of contact
  • keep abreast of common and topical Council information and processes in order to inform and help customers
  • customer support administration duties as required
  • understand Council's library collections and contribute to library processes
  • contribute to the design and delivery of quality programmes, events and initiatives which increase engagement with the library
  • promote Council's online services and new technologies

Requirements:

  • previous experience in a customer services or customer facing position
  • project a warm, welcoming persona with a positive attitude and passion for delivering exceptional customer service
  • high level of attention to detail, with a focus on thoroughness and accuracy
  • ability to learn and retain new information and systems quickly
