Job Description:

Are you a detail-oriented team player looking for an opportunity in a customer-facing role? Octagon is partnered with a global supplier of fermentation-based ingredients, specializing in high-quality solutions for the food, nutrition, and personal care industries. As their team is growing, we are looking for a Customer Support & Order Specialist, based in Amsterdam!

Job Responsibility:

Handle incoming customer orders via email (and sometimes phone)
Enter and update order details in the ERP system (Exact Online)
Coordinate with suppliers and logistics partners on delivery updates
Review purchase orders and invoices to make sure everything matches
Keep an eye on stock levels and communicate with the team to prevent shortages
Prepare and check shipping and customs documents
Support the General Manager and team with administrative tasks

Requirements:

Around 1 year of experience in an admin, customer service, or logistics role
Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel (experience with Exact Online is a plus)
Strong eye for detail and accuracy
A proactive attitude and a team player mindset
Excellent English skills

Nice to have:

Dutch, Japanese, German, or French are a plus
