We are looking for a Customer Specialist to join our team and play a pivotal role in retaining and expanding our small to medium-sized customer base. This hybrid role combines remote and on-site work, focusing on proactive engagement through telephony channels, leveraging strategic sales methodologies to deliver tailored solutions that promote sustainable growth.
Job Responsibility:
Perform outbound and inbound calls to understand customer needs, resolve concerns, and drive retention within the small to medium business segment
Manage the entire sales process—from lead qualification to order placement and post-sale follow-up
Apply targeted retention initiatives and sales strategies based on company playbooks to reduce churn and increase loyalty
Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities to grow revenue within existing accounts by promoting Motions capabilities
Keep customer records current and accurate in CRM and ERP systems to support decision-making and performance tracking
Work closely with sales, product management, and branch teams for seamless customer experiences
Monitor and report on sales and retention metrics to meet targets and inform strategy
Requirements:
Proven experience in customer retention, account management, or sales growth, preferably within the small to medium business market
Expertise in telephony-based customer engagement with the ability to handle high-volume inbound and outbound calls
Familiarity with sales playbooks, structured sales methodologies, and CRM systems
Strong verbal communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated, results-driven with the ability to work independently and prioritize effectively
Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), ERP systems, HRIS, and Power BI or similar reporting tools
You must be either an Australian Citizen or a holder of an Australian Permanent Residency Visa to be eligible to apply for this position
Nice to have:
Experience or knowledge of the industrial industry is a plus but not mandatory
