We are looking for a Customer Service Supervisor to lead front office operations in St. Petersburg, Florida. This contract to permanent position is ideal for someone who can guide a patient-facing team, promote high service standards, and support smooth daily clinic workflows. The role combines staff leadership, operational coordination, and hands-on problem-solving to help deliver an efficient and welcoming experience for patients and internal teams.
Job Responsibility
Direct daily activities of the front desk team and provide consistent leadership
Coach staff on delivering a positive patient and employee experience
Oversee onboarding and training for new team members
Monitor team performance, contribute to annual evaluations, and address performance concerns
Coordinate staffing coverage, manage schedules, review time records, and communicate workforce needs
Step into front office or insurance verification tasks during peak periods
Resolve patient concerns in collaboration with leadership
Support site meeting preparation by organizing materials
Partner with clinical, medical, and administrative colleagues to improve patient access and scheduling flow
Maintain compliance with privacy and confidentiality standards
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
At least 6 years of supervisory experience in a community healthcare or mental health environment
Background working in a service-driven setting that uses metrics and performance measures to evaluate outcomes
Experience supporting multiple healthcare service lines and applying standard healthcare office policies and procedures
Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications, along with the ability to learn and use organizational systems
Working knowledge of health insurance plans, eligibility processes, healthcare terminology, and relevant federal and state assistance programs
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and work effectively with colleagues
Bilingual English and Spanish skills are valued, and experience serving under-resourced communities is a plus
