Rutland Housing Authority is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for residents and applicants while supporting day-to-day office operations. This is a fast-paced, administrative role requiring strong organization, attention to detail, and a customer-first mindset.
Job Responsibility
Manage front desk operations (calls, visitors, inquiries)
Process housing applications and maintain accurate records
Enter and update data in the system
Coordinate tenant communications, notices, and mailings
Assist with recertifications and compliance tracking
Receive and manage work orders, collaborating with maintenance staff
Support general office operations and administrative tasks
Requirements
2+ years of customer service experience (required)
High School Diploma required (Associate’s preferred)
Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
ability to learn new systems quickly
Experience with data entry and cash handling preferred
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
