Job Description

Rutland Housing Authority is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for residents and applicants while supporting day-to-day office operations. This is a fast-paced, administrative role requiring strong organization, attention to detail, and a customer-first mindset.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage front desk operations (calls, visitors, inquiries)
  • Process housing applications and maintain accurate records
  • Enter and update data in the system
  • Coordinate tenant communications, notices, and mailings
  • Assist with recertifications and compliance tracking
  • Receive and manage work orders, collaborating with maintenance staff
  • Support general office operations and administrative tasks

Requirements

  • 2+ years of customer service experience (required)
  • High School Diploma required (Associate’s preferred)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Experience with data entry and cash handling preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
