Job Description:

Customer Service Representatives are the face of Aetna and impact the agent experience by handling customer service inquiries and problems. They engage, consult, and educate members based on their unique needs, preferences and understanding of Aetna plans, tools, and resources to help guide members along a clear path to care.

Job Responsibility:

  • Handle customer service inquiries and problems via telephone, internet or written correspondence
  • Engage, consult, and educate members based on their unique needs
  • Act as primary resource for products and provide support for agents and/or customer teams
  • Give guidance with sales inquiries
  • Manage various software applications while taking calls
  • Cultivate positive relationships with field sales force/broker/consultant community
  • Navigate and instruct customers on how to use agent support website
  • Complete sales orders and requests for materials
  • Train and mentor other employees if needed
  • Assist Supervisor and Manager with providing support to the team
  • Consult cross-functionally with other departments
  • Anticipate agent's needs and educate on various elements of information and available services
  • Provide technical or subject matter expertise concerning policies, procedures, and function-related applications/systems tools
  • Document and track all contacts, events, and outcomes with clients

Requirements:

  • 1-3+ years customer service, call center environment
  • Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook) computer skills
  • Critical Thinking
  • Multi-Tasking
  • Strong Analytical Skills
  • Written and verbal communication are necessary skills
  • High School Diploma required
  • associate's degree preferred

Nice to have:

  • 1-3+ years health insurance sales, focus on Medicare health services
