Robert Half client is looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our team onsite in Livermore, California. This contract opportunity with potential for permanent employment is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting customers, coordinating with internal teams, and keeping orders moving accurately from quote to delivery. In this role, you will handle a mix of customer communication, order administration, and return processing while using business systems and reporting tools to maintain service quality and follow-through.
Job Responsibility:
Partner with teams such as Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, and Product Management to resolve customer needs and support day-to-day service operations
Respond to sales-related questions, help manage delivery expectations, and participate in district sales meetings by capturing key discussion points and follow-up items
Create customer quotations in Epicor, update existing quotes as needed, and distribute pricing details directly to customers or through the sales team
Review special account instructions and validate order details, including shipping information, requested dates, pricing, customer part numbers, and quantities before final processing
Track open orders using Epicor, production reporting, and status tools to help maintain on-time shipment and proactively raise concerns when commitments may be at risk
Communicate regularly with internal contacts to clarify priorities, align on scheduling, and manage customer-requested ship and delivery dates
Process product returns by preparing return documentation, sending required forms to customers, and monitoring each case through completion, including credit memo follow-up
Follow established sales operations procedures and document opportunities for improvement by opening corrective action cases in Epicor when needed
Support additional customer service and administrative tasks assigned by management to help meet department goals
Use Microsoft Office, Power BI, and web-based portals to maintain records, communicate updates, and support reporting needs
Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience in customer service, order support, or a related administrative role
Hands-on experience with Epicor or another ERP/CRM platform used for quotes, order entry, and customer account activity
Ability to manage order processing, price quotes, returns, billing-related inquiries, and shipment tracking with strong attention to detail
Comfortable using Microsoft Office, web-based systems, and reporting tools to organize information and communicate effectively
Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with customers, sales teams, and cross-functional departments
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, follow documented procedures, and respond quickly to changing customer or business needs
Experience handling inbound customer inquiries and maintaining accurate records across data processing and service activities
