Job Responsibility
Respond to inbound calls from members who need assistance with leave-related questions and required documentation
Initiate outgoing communication with employers and medical providers to confirm work status and gather updates tied to active cases
Process disability-related payments for individuals who are away from work due to illness or medical leave
Send appropriate forms and paperwork to callers during the intake stage of a leave request
Enter and maintain accurate case information in internal records and tracking systems
Use email and phone correspondence to follow up on outstanding information needed to move claims or leave requests forward
Monitor multiple tasks at once while prioritizing customer needs and meeting daily service expectations
Requirements
Prior experience in customer service with a strong focus on phone support and member interaction
Ability to handle both inbound and outbound calls confidently and effectively
Strong data entry skills with careful attention to accuracy and completeness
Working knowledge of basic Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
Comfortable learning and using general medical terminology in daily conversations and documentation
Proven ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy office setting
Personable and detail-oriented communication style with a customer-first approach
