Job Description:

We are looking for a dependable Customer Service Representative to support a busy retail environment in Damariscotta, Maine. This is a Contract position suited for someone who enjoys helping customers, staying organized, and contributing to smooth day-to-day store operations. The role is fully onsite and may involve working at two nearby store locations, with scheduling that includes weekend availability as part of a shared rotation.

Job Responsibility:

Welcome shoppers, answer questions, and deliver attentive service that creates a positive in-store experience
Process purchases accurately, handle cash transactions responsibly
Restock merchandise, organize displays, and help keep shelves clean, full, and easy for customers to shop
Support inventory activities by checking product levels, replenishing items, and assisting with overall stock control
Respond to customer inquiries by phone and in person, providing clear information and timely assistance
Work across two nearby store locations as needed to support coverage and daily operational needs
Collaborate with team members to keep the store running efficiently while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere
Follow scheduling requirements that include weekend availability on a rotating basis
Assist with general retail tasks that help maintain store appearance, product availability, and customer satisfaction

Requirements:

Previous experience in retail, customer-facing service, or a similar support role
Strong communication skills with the ability to assist customers in a friendly and attentive manner
Confidence handling cash, processing transactions, and working accurately at the point of sale
Ability to manage stocking duties and support inventory organization throughout the store
Comfortable working fully onsite and traveling between two nearby store locations when needed
Availability to work regular or part-time hours, including weekends as part of a rotating schedule
Reliable, team-oriented, and capable of staying organized in an active retail setting
