A Healthcare Company is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Customer Service Representative to join a busy healthcare team in the South Bay. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping patients, answering questions, and providing excellent support in a fast-paced medical environment. The Medical Customer Service Representative will serve as a key point of contact for patients, assisting with scheduling, insurance-related questions, and general office support while helping ensure a positive patient experience.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as the first point of contact for patients by phone and in person
Answer patient questions regarding appointments, services, insurance, and general office information
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments as needed
Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and required documentation
Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes
Collect copays and help address basic billing or account questions
Maintain accurate patient records in EMR and internal systems
Route messages to clinical staff and follow up with patients as needed
Coordinate with front office and clinical teams to support smooth daily operations
Provide professional, courteous, and patient-focused service at all times
Requirements:
Previous experience in customer service within a medical office, healthcare setting, or call center preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with scheduling, patient intake, and insurance verification is preferred
Experience with EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
