Job Description

This role focuses on assisting internal colleagues through inbound calls, providing guidance on policies, procedures, systems, and customer-related situations. Specialists play a key role in coaching peers, encouraging collaboration, and helping deliver a high-quality, personalized service experience. This team also supports additional business areas when call volume requires, demonstrating adaptability and broad operational knowledge.

Job Responsibility

  • Assisting internal colleagues through inbound calls, providing guidance on policies, procedures, systems, and customer-related situations
  • Coaching peers, encouraging collaboration, and helping deliver a high-quality, personalized service experience
  • Supporting additional business areas when call volume requires, demonstrating adaptability and broad operational knowledge
  • Providing real-time phone support to Retail banking staff, offering solutions and direction related to internal processes, systems, and customer service challenges
  • Promoting service standards that align with Huntington’s “Category of One” approach
  • Assisting other departments during high-volume periods to ensure seamless support across the organization

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of experience in customer service

Nice to have

  • Background in a Customer Solution Center or Retail Banking environment
  • Associate degree is a plus
  • Familiarity with banking systems and processes (e.g., teller systems, account setup, ATM support, CD/IRA guidelines, lending practices)
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience is beneficial
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve complex customer issues professionally
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Team-oriented mindset with a strong focus on delivering excellent service
  • Comfortable using computers and web-based applications
