We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Customer Service Representative to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. In this Contract to permanent opportunity, you will play a pivotal role in supporting credit union members by handling inbound inquiries and providing exceptional service. Job Responsibility:
Respond to inbound calls from credit union members, addressing inquiries related to account balances, products, and services
Provide patient and empathetic assistance, particularly to senior members, ensuring their needs are met with care
Utilize multiple software systems, including Symitaur, Amazon Connect, Smart Sheets, and Orpheus, to manage member accounts and resolve issues
Stay informed about the organization’s offerings to effectively guide members to appropriate solutions
Maintain a high level of accuracy and professionalism while handling sensitive financial information
Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service delivery and meet performance goals
Adhere to attendance policies and uphold reliability standards
Participate in comprehensive training programs to develop technical skills and understanding of company procedures
Handle Saturday shifts twice a month, with a flexible schedule to ensure no more than 40 hours per week
Assist in managing increased call volumes resulting from organizational changes
Requirements:
Proven experience in customer service, preferably in an inbound call center or financial services setting
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively
High level of patience and empathy, particularly when assisting elderly customers
Proficiency in using multiple software systems and navigating a multi-screen setup
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks
Reliable attendance and commitment to meeting work schedules
Willingness to participate in training and adapt to organizational changes
Nice to have:
Knowledge of financial products and services is a plus
