Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and attentive Customer Service Representative to join our team near Lyndhurst, New Jersey. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring smooth order management and customer satisfaction within a manufacturing environment. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Process and manage sales and purchase orders using SAP's Sales and Distribution module
  • Monitor back-order lists, open billing reports, and shipping schedules to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
  • Address customer inquiries through inbound and outbound calls, providing prompt resolutions and support
  • Collaborate with internal teams to anticipate customer needs and streamline order handling
  • Update and maintain accurate order records to ensure data integrity and smooth operations
  • Identify and communicate potential delays or issues in order processing to relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure all picking, shipping, and billing activities align with organizational standards and timelines
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing concerns and maintaining a courteous demeanor
  • Stay up-to-date with company procedures and policies to deliver consistent service
  • Assist in optimizing workflows and processes to enhance overall efficiency

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in customer service, preferably within the manufacturing industry
  • Proficiency in order entry and management using SAP systems
  • Strong ability to handle inbound and outbound calls professionally and efficiently
  • Familiarity with managing sales orders and purchase orders
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
  • Experience with managing shipping, billing, and back-order processes is a plus
