Exciting opportunity to be part of a Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy, providing compassionate and timely service to patients receiving specialty drug therapy. Responsibilities include verifying and processing benefits, entering prescriptions, and interacting with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers.
Job Responsibility:
Providing telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy
Coordinating and processing new patient medication orders and reorders, verifying and reverifying benefits
Translating and entering new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system
Communicating and collecting copay amounts and obtaining authorizations
Working with insurance companies, healthcare providers and internal teams to resolve accounts receivable or clinical issues
Processing specialty medications in a timely manner to meet financial and clinical expectations.
Requirements:
One year experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone
One year work experience with Windows-based applications like Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications
One year computer keyboarding experience, skills and aptitude.
Nice to have:
Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, medical terminology.
