We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to support a busy real estate organization in New York, New York. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers, managing account-related questions, and keeping records accurate across calls and email communication. The role combines customer service and accounts receivable support, with a strong focus on professionalism, responsiveness, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility:
Respond to incoming customer calls and emails, providing timely assistance and clear follow-up on service or account-related inquiries
Place outbound calls when needed to resolve open issues, confirm information, and support ongoing customer communication
Enter and update customer, order, and account details accurately in internal systems to maintain reliable records
Assist with accounts receivable-related tasks by tracking payment matters, documenting conversations, and escalating issues when appropriate
Coordinate appointments and follow-up activities to ensure customer requests are handled efficiently
Use Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, to organize data, monitor activity, and prepare routine reports
Support day-to-day service operations in an onsite environment while collaborating with team members across the business
Maintain a courteous and solution-focused approach when handling a high volume of interactions in a customer service setting
Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience in customer service, call center support, or a similar client-facing role
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including strong working knowledge of Excel and Word
Ability to manage inbound and outbound communication professionally by phone and email
Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate information in business systems
Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple tasks and follow through on details
Comfortable working onsite at least 3 days per week in New York, New York
Previous exposure to real estate or property management environments is preferred
Experience with Yardi is preferred
