Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join a team in Lewes, Delaware. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless patient experience by managing registrations, verifying information, and providing outstanding service. This is a Contract-to-permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity to grow within the organization.

Job Responsibility:

Assign accurate medical record numbers (MRNs) and ensure compliance checks are completed efficiently
Provide clear instructions to patients and process physician orders accurately
Collect and verify insurance details while utilizing overlay tools to maintain data accuracy
Conduct pre-registration for patient accounts prior to their visits, including obtaining necessary demographic and financial information
Handle inbound and outbound calls to gather patient details and address inquiries with professionalism
Inform patients about financial responsibilities, including point-of-service collections and payment plan options
Assist with medical necessity checks and ensure all compliance standards are met
Deliver an exceptional customer service experience, as reflected in Press Ganey scores
Collect past-due balances and set up payment plans to support patients' financial needs

Requirements:

At least 1 year of experience in a customer service or patient access role
Proficiency in using Allscripts, Epic EMR, and Epic Software
Strong skills in handling inbound calls and providing authorizations
Familiarity with benefit and billing functions within a healthcare setting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and team members
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Knowledge of compliance standards and medical necessity checks
A commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment
