We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Customer Service Representative in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania. This role is with a global industrial distribution company and involves building ongoing business relationships with our customers through repeated contact and consultation. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be providing expert assistance to a wide variety of questions and problems. Unlike most CSR roles, you will build ongoing business relationships with our customers through repeated contact and consultation. As this is a service and parts center, our ability to get customers' business often depends on your ability to quickly and efficiently provide them with just the right parts and/or solutions – especially when customers are experiencing costly equipment breakdowns. You will also occasionally have hands-on duties that will require mechanical aptitude.
Job Responsibility
Assist customers by phone and in person at our facility
Help customers get the parts they need
Interact extensively with customers to clarify their needs, research, and recommend parts
Meet / exceed monthly sales goals while increasing customer satisfaction
Provide quotes
Take orders
Provide post order service
Physically measure specs on a wide variety of parts
Requirements
Minimum 6 months of customer service experience
Mechanical and mathematical aptitude
Excellent telephone skills
Ability and desire to learn new systems and processes quickly
Strong computer skills, particularly Excel
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license and clean driving record (MVR)
Proficiency in handling and answering inbound calls
Experience in Call Center Customer Service
Superior skills in customer service
Familiarity with data entry tasks
Ability to manage email correspondence efficiently
Experience with both inbound and outbound calls
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Experience in order entry
Ability to schedule appointments effectively
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational skills
