We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. In this role, you will play a key part in guiding prospective students through the admissions process by providing accurate information about programs, entrance requirements, and academic standards. This is a contract-to-permanent position located in Fremont, California, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' educational journeys.
Job Responsibility:
Respond promptly to inquiries from prospective students, providing detailed information about program offerings, entrance requirements, and academic standards
Conduct follow-up with potential students who have expressed interest but have not scheduled or attended interviews
Initiate outreach to generate new leads and build relationships with prospective students
Schedule and lead interviews with students, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures
Match program offerings to students’ goals, qualifications, and aspirations, while explaining the benefits and advantages of the institution
Act as a liaison between students and campus departments, assisting with enrollment forms and ensuring smooth transitions
Collaborate with admissions management to address student concerns and motivations effectively
Provide basic guidance and advice to students regarding program eligibility and admissions processes
Mentor students to help them identify their interests and strengths, supporting their educational decision-making
Address routine questions and concerns from students, ensuring resolution in compliance with policies and procedures
Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience in a customer service role, preferably in a call center or admissions setting
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly
Proficiency in managing inbound and outbound calls while maintaining excellent customer service
Experience in order entry and handling inquiries efficiently
Ability to work collaboratively and support prospective students in navigating admissions processes
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Familiarity with basic computer applications and ability to utilize approved materials during interviews
Commitment to providing high-quality service and maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures
