We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team in Irvine, California. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional customer experiences by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining strong relationships with our clients. This position is ideal for a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to contribute to the success of a company in the Health Pharma/Biotech industry.
Job Responsibility:
Address customer inquiries and concerns professionally and efficiently, ensuring a high level of satisfaction
Resolve customer issues from start to finish by coordinating with internal departments and providing timely updates
Utilize multiple internal systems to deliver accurate and consistent service throughout the day
Provide constructive feedback to management regarding service challenges or customer concerns to support continuous improvement
Participate in special projects as assigned, contributing to team and organizational goals
Accurately manage order processing, shipping coordination, and customer account setup while troubleshooting potential issues
Maintain thorough and accurate records of interactions, ensuring all data is entered with attention to detail
Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet customer needs and resolve complex cases
Handle mandatory overtime when requested to meet operational demands
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field preferred
some college coursework will also be considered
3-5 years of experience in a high-pressure customer service environment, ideally in manufacturing or order management
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word, and familiarity with order management systems
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent interpersonal abilities
Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
A positive and proactive approach to customer satisfaction, with strong follow-up and follow-through capabilities
Ability to interpret invoices and perform basic mathematical calculations accurately
Nice to have:
Familiarity with Lean Process Improvement principles
