Job Responsibility
Conduct intake conversations with applicants, gather required records, and assess eligibility for available energy assistance services
Assist individuals and families by answering questions, providing courteous service, and explaining program steps in a clear and respectful manner
Enter, update, and maintain client information in databases and related systems with a high level of accuracy
Review household and income details, using basic calculations to support eligibility determinations and program documentation
Work closely with partner agencies and community resources to help address client needs and improve access to support
Take part in outreach activities and community events to increase awareness of available assistance programs
Provide responsive service to diverse populations, including older adults, veterans, people with disabilities, and families with children
Protect sensitive information and follow established policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards in daily work
Requirements
Previous experience in customer service, call center support, or a public-facing service environment
Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to explain information clearly and professionally
Comfortable handling inbound and outbound calls while providing a positive customer experience
Solid computer proficiency, including data entry and application or case-related record management
Good numerical skills and attention to detail when reviewing income and household information
Ability to stay organized, manage competing priorities, and work effectively in a fast-paced setting
