We are looking for a dedicated Customer Service Representative to support a conference event in Cincinnati, Ohio. This is a contract position requiring flexibility to work varied hours and shifts over several days. The role involves assisting with event registration, guest inquiries, and auction activities to ensure a smooth and detail-oriented experience for attendees.
Job Responsibility:
Provide exceptional support at the registration desk by assisting attendees with check-in and event materials
Oversee silent auction activities, including managing bids, answering participant questions, and ensuring the process runs smoothly
Act as a runner to deliver materials, coordinate between teams, and address immediate logistical needs during the event
Assist guests with inquiries and direct them to appropriate event locations or services
Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and with attention to detail to contribute to the success of the conference
Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor while addressing attendee needs
Adapt to shifting priorities and schedules based on the event's flow
Collaborate with team members to solve problems and maintain seamless operations
Follow event guidelines and processes to ensure consistency and quality
Commit to the full duration of the event without interruptions or schedule changes
Requirements:
Proven experience in customer service or event support roles
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to assist attendees and address concerns
Ability to work long shifts, including evenings, as needed throughout the event
Dependable and punctual, with a commitment to fulfilling the entire schedule
Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Comfortable working in team settings and independently when required
Detail-oriented approach and a focus on delivering excellent service to all participants
