We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to support customers in the utilities and infrastructure sector from our location. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone who communicates clearly, stays organized in a fast-paced environment, and delivers dependable service across phone-based customer interactions. The role begins with onsite training for approximately 4 to 6 weeks and then transitions to a hybrid schedule with in-office work on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with hours that may adjust during emergency response periods.
Job Responsibility
Respond to incoming customer calls and provide timely, attentive assistance with service-related questions and concerns
Use CRM tools to document customer interactions, update account details, and maintain accurate service records
Support billing inquiries by explaining charges, reviewing account activity, and helping resolve payment-related issues
Handle a high volume of customer contacts while maintaining accuracy, empathy, and strong service standards
Escalate complex concerns when needed and coordinate with internal teams to help ensure prompt resolution
Follow established procedures for emergency schedule changes, including storm-related shift adjustments when business needs require
Participate in onsite onboarding and training before moving into the hybrid work arrangement
Maintain clear records of customer requests, follow-up actions, and outcomes to support consistent service delivery
Requirements
Prior experience in customer service, call center support, or a related customer-facing role
Ability to manage inbound calls efficiently while maintaining a courteous and solution-oriented approach
Working knowledge of CRM systems and comfort navigating customer account information
Experience handling billing questions, account reviews, or payment-related customer issues
Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to explain information clearly and professionally
Dependable attendance and flexibility to work changing hours during emergency situations
Ability to work onsite during the initial training period and follow a hybrid schedule afterward
