Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and customer-focused professional to join our team as a Customer Service Officer. As the first point of contact, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service across multiple channels. Job Responsibility:

  • Provide high-quality customer service, ensuring all interactions meet or exceed performance standards
  • Offer professional, courteous, and positive support to customers and internal teams, fostering strong working relationships
  • Resolve enquiries at the first point of contact whenever possible, and efficiently escalate or redirect as needed
  • Utilise internal knowledge management systems to provide accurate, up-to-date information and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Log and track service requests to ensure timely resolution and accurate record-keeping
  • Process payments and transactions with accuracy, maintaining proper documentation and compliance with procedures
  • Collaborate with various teams to enhance the overall customer experience
  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and proactively address potential challenges

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably within a high-volume environment
  • Previous experience working in government is highly desirable
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse customers
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Nice to have:

Experience working in a call centre environment

  • Answers calls from third party payers and reviews line by line the details in order to determine customer's responsibility and insurance responsibility
  • Completes a high balance investigation to find new ways to prevent bad billings by researching insurance plans and insurance information
  • Makes outbound calls to insurance companies to inquire the status of unpaid self-pay claims
  • Solves issues with insurance checks that go directly to the customers but belong to National Vision by calling out to the customers to explain their balances owed
