We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join a team in St. Albans, West Virginia, in a Long-term Contract position. This role focuses on delivering a dependable customer experience by managing orders accurately, responding to inquiries with urgency, and coordinating with internal partners to keep business moving smoothly. The ideal candidate is organized, service-minded, and comfortable handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining clear communication with customers and colleagues.
Job Responsibility:
Manage customer orders from initial entry through completion, ensuring timely handling and accurate records throughout the process
Review order details carefully, including billing, shipping, pricing, quantities, and purchase order information, to confirm accuracy before fulfillment
Record customer-specific instructions, product updates, delivery preferences, pricing changes, and other account details in the appropriate systems
Partner with sales and cross-functional teams to support customer needs, resolve order-related issues, and help maintain smooth service operations
Communicate with customers and internal stakeholders regarding order status, changes, questions, and service concerns in a clear and timely manner
Support shared team workflows related to order intake and data entry, including assisting coworkers as volume and priorities shift
Investigate customer concerns and complaints, document findings, and work toward prompt, practical resolution
Process product returns according to established procedures and ensure all related documentation is completed accurately
Follow company policies, safety expectations, quality standards, and regulatory requirements in all daily customer service activities
Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience in customer service, order management, call center support, or a related field
Ability to work independently, evaluate issues effectively, and make sound decisions in a busy environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to remain composed and attentive during customer interactions
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and stay organized in a high-volume setting
Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills and a clear commitment to customer satisfaction
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using business systems for order entry, account updates, and team coordination
Background in manufacturing or chemical distribution is helpful but not required
Flexibility to work overtime, respond to after-hours needs, or support on-call coverage when required
