Job Description

We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join a mortgage services team in Tempe, Arizona. This Contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers, communicating clearly, and working in a fast-paced onsite environment. In this role, you will support borrowers with account-related questions while building foundational experience within the mortgage and financial services industry.

Job Responsibility

  • Respond to incoming customer calls related to mortgage accounts, including payment activity, escrow matters, and general loan questions
  • Place outbound calls to borrowers to discuss overdue payments and provide appropriate account support
  • Deliver attentive, solutions-focused service while addressing a high volume of customer interactions each day
  • Record call details, account updates, and customer conversations accurately within internal systems
  • Apply company policies, regulatory expectations, and service standards consistently during every interaction
  • Take part in paid training, guided shadowing, and ongoing coaching to strengthen product knowledge and call handling skills.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in customer service, such as call center support or a similar role
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to explain information clearly and professionally
  • Effective problem-solving abilities and a customer-first approach to resolving questions or concerns
  • Comfort working in a high-volume call environment with both inbound and outbound responsibilities
  • Availability to work onsite in Tempe, Arizona Monday through Friday, with one scheduled Saturday shift per month
  • Interest in developing knowledge of mortgage servicing and growing within the financial services field.

  • clearly explain products and services within the scope of the client's regulatory classification as an 'information only' provider, avoiding advice or guidance
  • carry out all aspects of mortgage account administration, including completions, redemptions, payments, product transfers, lease extensions, and general enquiries
  • prepare and send standard or dictated customer correspondence, including handling lost account enquiries
  • perform cashiering duties at Head Office, including opening, closing, amending, and processing transactions on savings accounts using internal systems
  • manage changes to customer and account information such as address updates, notice requests, and nominated bank account amendments
  • administer ISA transfers and assist with account registration procedures
  • support other departments as required, such as Loans Underwriting and the New Business Team
