We are looking for a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our team on a contract basis in Richmond, Virginia. This position requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills to assist customers with inquiries and ensure their satisfaction. You will play a key role in supporting housing programs and maintaining high service standards.
Job Responsibility:
Provide courteous and empathetic assistance to customers, striving to resolve inquiries during the first interaction
Develop a thorough understanding of Low Income Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher Program policies to address customer concerns effectively
Follow up on unresolved issues to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction
Maintain customer service ratings in alignment with established benchmarks and guidelines
Participate in mandatory training sessions to stay updated on organizational policies and procedures
Utilize approved scripts and protocols to determine appropriate resolutions or escalate issues to management when necessary
Accurately input call details and customer interactions into the organization's database
Requirements:
Previous experience in a call center or customer service role
Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to convey empathy and professionalism
Proficiency in handling both inbound and outbound calls
Ability to manage data entry tasks efficiently and with attention to detail
Capable of multitasking and working in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to maintaining high customer satisfaction standards
Nice to have:
Familiarity with housing programs or government services is a plus
