Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Customer Service Representative to provide exceptional support to individuals navigating the housing waitlist process. This is a Long-term Contract position based in Washington, District of Columbia, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact through effective communication and administrative expertise. Join our team to help streamline processes and ensure a positive experience for all applicants.

Job Responsibility:

  • Respond promptly to inbound calls and address inquiries related to the housing waitlist
  • Collect, organize, and process physical documents from applicants
  • Update and maintain accurate records within the company database
  • Scan and file documents to ensure proper documentation and accessibility
  • Perform general clerical duties, including data entry and administrative tasks
  • Provide clear and precise communication to assist applicants throughout the process
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word to create and manage reports or documentation
  • Collaborate with team members to improve customer service practices and efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures during all interactions
  • Offer solutions and guidance to applicants facing challenges or questions

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a high-volume environment
  • Proficiency in answering inbound calls and handling inquiries with professionalism
  • Strong skills in data entry with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word for administrative tasks
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize responsibilities
  • Strong organizational skills to handle documentation and filing effectively
  • A proactive and empathetic approach to assisting customers
