Job Description:

The pump attendant is responsible for providing customer service, dispensing fuel, handling payments, and maintaining a safe, clean forecourt environment. This role requires strong technical expertise in petroleum infrastructure, project management skills, and a deep understanding of regulatory and environmental requirements.

Job Responsibility:

  • Fill customers’ vehicle tanks with requested fuel
  • Collect payments from customers and provide receipts and dispense change
  • Provide other services offered by the station, such as lubricating vehicles, changing motor oil, adding water, installing antifreeze, replacing lights/accessories
  • Collect and dispose of outside trash
  • Process credit card purchases
  • Answer customer questions and provide directions
  • Replace windshield wiper blades
  • Activate fuel pumps with supervisor permission
  • Complete shift reports for fuel sales and payments
  • Wash windshields and check fluids/tire pressure
  • Report suspicious activity
  • Participate in stock counts.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a customer service position
  • Experience in a customer-facing environment is a plus
  • Efficient time management skills
  • Excellent customer service
  • Excellent communication skills.
