The pump attendant is responsible for providing customer service, dispensing fuel, handling payments, and maintaining a safe, clean forecourt environment. This role requires strong technical expertise in petroleum infrastructure, project management skills, and a deep understanding of regulatory and environmental requirements.
Job Responsibility:
Fill customers’ vehicle tanks with requested fuel
Collect payments from customers and provide receipts and dispense change
Provide other services offered by the station, such as lubricating vehicles, changing motor oil, adding water, installing antifreeze, replacing lights/accessories
Collect and dispose of outside trash
Process credit card purchases
Answer customer questions and provide directions
Replace windshield wiper blades
Activate fuel pumps with supervisor permission
Complete shift reports for fuel sales and payments
Wash windshields and check fluids/tire pressure
Report suspicious activity
Participate in stock counts.
Requirements:
Prior experience in a customer service position
Experience in a customer-facing environment is a plus
